Harold Lehmann, MD, PhD  

Harold P. Lehmann, MD, PhD, is Professor of Medicine, in the Section of Biomedical Informatics and Data Science (BIDS) at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. A board-certified pediatrician, his research entails infusing clinical concerns into formal informatics, whether it be evidence-based medicine, Bayesian statistical analysis, medical decision making, the analysis of real-world (EHR) data, or machine learning. He led the precursor to BIDS, including its training programs, for 20 years. He is now informatics lead for the Johns Hopkins site as a member of the PaTH/PCORnet Clinical Data Research Network, and a co-investigator in the National COVID Cohort Collaborative, where he leads the Applicable Data Methods and Standards group. Dr. Lehmann advises HARC’s Leadership Team on the infrastructure needed to define processes for data collaboration of evidence-based home visiting models and states with client-level data. Additionally, he provides support for data collection considerations around innovative methods.
