Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

HARC’s Special Interest Groups (SIGs) give members a chance to connect in smaller groups focused on specific topics. SIGs are open to HARC members and to anyone else interested in topics related to early childhood home visiting.

These groups are a place to share ideas, learn about new and emerging research, discuss innovative approaches and evidence-based practices, network, and find professional development opportunities. SIGs also let members suggest topics, invite speakers, give presentations, and work together on projects.

The SIGs are largely member-driven, although the HARC Coordinating Center provides support to facilitate their communication needs and organization.

Current SIGs include:

Artificial Intelligence (AI) SIG – The AI SIG will be exploring AI use in home visiting service delivery and research. For more information and to join the AI SIG follow this link.
Data Sharing (Data) SIG – The DS SIG is a forum for sharing data linkage projects, exchanging lessons learned, problem-solving data challenges, and networking. For more information and to join the DS SIG follow this link.
Early Career Scholars (ECS) SIG – The ECS SIG provides a forum for home visiting researchers and evaluators early in their career (including students) to meet and share experiences, resources, and opportunities, and to network. For more information and to join the ECS SIG follow this link.
Workforce Development (Workforce) SIG – The Workforce SIG is exploring issues related to workforce development in home visiting, providing opportunities to network, share research, explore recent developments, and collaborate. For more information and to join the Workforce SIG follow this link.
Criminal Legal System Involved Families (CLIF) SIG – The CLIF SIG focuses on issues related to the challenges that families involved in the criminal legal system face, and what and how home visiting can do more to support them. For more information on this SIG please email HARC: harc@hvresearch.org.
