Heather Johnson, DrPH, MPH
Heather Johnson, DrPH, MPH is an Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Public Health. Dr. Johnson has extensive experience with the Maternal Infant Early Childhood Home Visiting program (MIECHV). She serves as the Principal Investigator for evaluation, data, and Continuous Quality Improvement for Alabama’s home visiting programs. Prior to her current work with UAB, she worked for James Bell Associates, where she provided technical assistance with the MIECHV Technical Assistance Resource Center (MIECHV TARC). In addition, she previously worked as the home visiting data team lead and the director of CQI for the state of Alabama’s home visiting programs. She also spent three years as a home visitor and program supervisor in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Johnson participates in HARC’s development of information models and standard operational definitions based on feedback from key informant groups and from the work of the data collaborative. Additionally, she provides technical assistance on using the Precision Paradigm.
