Emily Heberlein, PhD, MS

Emily Heberlein, MS, PhD is a Senior Research Associate at James Bell Associates (JBA). She has more than 18 years of experience in research, evaluation, and quality improvement. Her work at JBA includes providing technical assistance to Maternal Infant Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) awardees in the areas of data and measurement, continuous quality improvement, and evaluation. Prior to joining JBA, Dr. Heberlein held research and evaluation positions in the academic research and non-profit sectors. Her mixed methods research and evaluation work has involved a range of initiatives – including Healthy Start home visiting services, group prenatal care, Medicaid-funded behavioral health services, and multi-sector collaborations addressing community health. Dr. Heberlein participates in HARC’s efforts on cross-model collaboration and data sharing to promote data standards that facilitate home visiting research.
