This discussion summary memo from the HEAL-PM project reports on their year one findings aligned with the project aim to assess how MIECHV’s program performance measurement system can incorporate a health equity framework. Activities were performed to understand how data on health disparities, social determinants of health, and the cultural sensitivity of measures are being collected and measured. Several themes emerged including that numerous programs currently use innovative frameworks and strategies to measure their progress toward health equity and that many are facing challenges in the ability to access quality data that is suitable for assessing health disparities.
